Hand towels start at around 500 x 750mm (20 x 30"), and are generally regarded as the second smallest size of towel. Face towels (otherwise known as washcloths) are the smallest, with hand towels next, followed by bath towels and finally bath sheets.

How to fold a hand towel
Folding a hand towel is easy - but doing it right is a great way to boost the image of your business.
1. Lay the towel flat in a portrait position. If it has a seam, make sure the seam side is facing down
2. Fold the bottom third of the towel into the middle
3. Fold the top two thirds over your bottom third fold, so that the top edge of the towel meets the bottom edge
4. Smooth out your towel, then fold in half left to right
5. You'll now have a neatly folded towel that can add the finishing touch to any bathroom.
