Shipping & Delivery
We will endeavour as much as possible to ensure that products are delivered to you on time and that you will receive them in good time. However, JD Catering Equipment Solutions LTD cannot be held liable for any delays in delivery or receiving of goods, if your order or product is required urgently please call or email us in first instance so we can be accurate with delivery times.
Deliveries can and will take place between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday.
Delivery is always kerbside only unless prior arrangements and agreements have been made with us in written format. On the day of the delivery the person/driver may at his/her/their discretion assist with delivering the goods to a location within the premises nominated by the customer, at the customers sole risk.
For large items, delivery address’s must be accessible by an 18 ton lorry, any access restrictions need to be made clear at point of order, Failure to disclose such information may result in extra costs being incurred by a failed/aborted delivery.
Large appliances in certain areas of the UK and Northern Ireland may incur an additional delivery charge, this is postcode & manufacturer dependant, please check before ordering.
Delivery of machines, refrigeration and all flat-pack items will be made to the ground floor entrance to the building. It does not include negotiating lifts or stairs.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products ordered will fit through doorways and into their premises as well as ensuring that the Carrier has sufficient access to complete the delivery.
We cannot accept responsibility if it will not fit or if the carrier is unable to deliver. Any carriage charges caused by an aborted delivery are the customers responsibility and may incur an additional cost.
Domestic address Deliveries may incur a surcharge for large appliances please check before ordering.
Deliveries may not be booked in as large palletised items are classed as trade deliveries and will be assumed the premises is open between 8am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Missed deliveries will incur a re-delivery charge, before being reattempted.
Damages must be reported promptly within 24hrs of delivery of items. Failure to check the goods and document any damage with the driver will result in a claim for damage being rejected. Signing unexamined is not acceptable. If an item has been installed this would deem the product as being accepted by the customer and claims for damages may also be rejected.
The buyer must inspect the received goods immediately upon delivery for possible deviations with what has been agreed on. Any complaints regarding the delivered goods must be submitted to us in writing within 24 hours of delivery. After the expiration of the terms, the delivery shall be deemed irrevocably and unconditionally accepted by the buyer. Please see our Returns Policy.
Delivery does not include the removal of old units or disposal of packaging materials (pallet, wrapping etc...). Collection and disposal of old units can be selected on a number of our products, in such cases where this service has been requested you must ensure that the items have been unplugged, disconnected, emptied and made ready for collection outside of the premises. If the collection fails you will still be invoiced the full amount and further collection charges may apply should you wish to rearrange the collection and disposal.
