Warranty Type & Terms Page
Claims will be processed under the terms and conditions of the warranty provided at the time of purchase. It is crucial to review the warranty terms to understand your coverage.
Important Notice
Some issues reported may not be faults with the product but instead due to incorrect use, installation, or a misunderstanding of the product’s operation. Statistics indicate that over 90% of reported faults are not product-related. Before requesting a service call, we recommend checking the user manual and performing basic troubleshooting to ensure the fault lies with the product and is covered under warranty.
The type of warranty for your product can be found on your original order confirmation, invoice, or warranty pack received at the point of sale.
Warranty Types and Claims Process
Back-to-Base Warranty
Certain manufacturers offer a back-to-base warranty, requiring the product to be returned for testing and repair. Warranty duration and specifics are outlined in your original order documentation.
- Check the user manual to confirm the fault.
- If unresolved, send the unit to the manufacturer for testing and repair.
- Customers must arrange for the return of faulty items, ensuring they are well-packaged. JD Catering Equipment Solutions and the manufacturer are not responsible for any transit damage due to poor packaging.
Some suppliers may offer to arrange the collection of faulty units.
Parts-Only Warranty
Under a parts-only warranty, customers may engage a fully qualified engineer (at their expense) to diagnose the issue.
- Submit an engineer’s report to JD Catering Equipment Solutions.
- The report will be sent to the manufacturer for approval.
- Upon approval, replacement parts will be provided along with packaging and a returns label for defective parts.
Ensure items are well-packaged for return. Neither JD Catering Equipment Solutions nor the manufacturer accepts responsibility for damage caused during transit. Some suppliers may arrange collection.
Parts-and-Labour Warranty
A parts-and-labour warranty includes on-site diagnosis and repair by an engineer.
- Prior to the visit, consult the user manual to confirm the fault is covered by the warranty.
- For gas appliances or hardwired units, an installation commissioning certificate must be provided before an engineer can be dispatched. Failure to supply this may result in delays or rejection of your warranty claim.
Note: If the engineer identifies the fault as user-related—such as incorrect use, installation issues, lack of cleaning, or utility problems—a charge will be applied for the visit.
Customer Declaration
Before completing the warranty claim form, please check if your product is handled directly by the manufacturer.
