ASSET LEASING AND BUSINESS EQUIPMENT FINANCING EXPLAINED
Equipment finance is typically provided by way of a leasing agreement or Hire Purchase facility. This enables you and your business to invest in vital equipment, with the cost of the investment made more affordable through monthly or quarterly payments appropriate to the asset type and needs of your business.
What is Hire Purchase?
Hire Purchase is a form of finance that can be used to buy new or used equipment. You essentially hire the asset over the contract period and, once the facility has been paid off, you are the legal owner of the asset.
Benefits of Hire Purchase:
- Rather than one large sum, you can spread the cost over a 2 to 5 year period.
- It makes larger and more expensive assets more affordable to the business.
- You can choose a fixed term and deposit that suits your business.
- As the hire purchaser, you will own the asset after paying the option-to-purchase fee.
- There are usually no tax charges on Hire Purchase agreements.
- Hire Purchase may be paid off early, depending on the customer and agreement.
Things to be mindful of:
- Asset depreciation.
- Non-payment could negatively affect the credit rating of the business and guarantor, and could result in the asset being repossessed.
What is a Finance Lease?
A Finance Lease enables a business to acquire the assets it needs without buying the asset outright.
Benefits of Leasing:
- Finance leases offer flexibility in terms of agreement length, rental repayment profile and end-of-lease options.
- Unlike making an outright purchase, you retain cash within your business.
- A fixed lease repayment profile makes it easier to budget for the lifetime of the asset.
- Potential tax advantages.
- Access to modern equipment can help your business remain efficient and competitive.
- Fast turnaround times may be available.
- At the end of the lease period, you may be able to continue using the asset for a nominal payment or upgrade the equipment with another lease.
Things to be mindful of:
- The agreement is secured against the asset.
- Non-payment could negatively affect the credit rating of the business and guarantor.
This quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this date, the quote will expire and a new application will be required. Rates and terms are subject to change and cannot be guaranteed beyond the validity period.
If a new quote is generated for the same customer, any previously issued quote will automatically expire and will no longer be valid. The most recently issued quote will take precedence.

Lincat CT2 - Specialist EcoSense Electric Counter-top Conveyor Toaster – W 365 mm
Full Description
The EcoSense Conveyor Toaster (CT2) delivers exceptional energy savings and reduced operational costs, contributing to waste reduction and consistent product quality. Featuring the innovative ‘jog to sprint’ 3-2-1 concept, the CT2 surpasses the performance and energy efficiency of its predecessor, the CT1, by offering up to 50% energy savings.
Instead of fully powering off and cooling down when idle, the CT2 enters a low-power 1kW jog mode, conserving energy while keeping the cavity warm. When a slice of bread is inserted and the loading sensor beam is broken, the toaster swiftly transitions to a 2kW ‘sprint’ mode. Upon startup, the toaster uses 3kW to reach operating temperature quickly, making it ready for use in just 4 minutes.
Although the CT2 has a higher initial purchase price than the CT1, its reduced running costs ensure a payback period of as little as 12 months.
The CT2 boasts a compact footprint, measuring 365mm wide—45mm narrower than the CT1—yet still accommodates two slices of toast side by side. Designed for front-of-house use and operated by the general public, the CT2 prioritises ease of use and safety. High insulation and active cooling not only enhance energy efficiency but also ensure the toaster’s sides remain cool to the touch, providing safety for users and children.
Achieving consistent toasting with traditional conveyor toasters can be challenging due to multiple users adjusting settings. The CT2 features a smart controller that automatically balances temperature, belt speed, and energy input, ensuring great results every time. Users can easily select their desired toast level with a simple rotary control knob offering 5 browning levels.
Traditional conveyor toasters often lead to high levels of burnt toast waste due to manual adjustments. The CT2 reduces this waste, with typical establishments saving £154 per year by avoiding 4,150 slices of burnt bread.
The CT2 offers two operating modes—Bread mode and Bun mode—providing flexibility and cost savings by allowing different bread types to be toasted with a single, compact unit.
Additional features include easy installation with a standard UK 3-pin plug, efficient rapid heat-up Quartz I.R. elements with high radiant efficiency and focused energy, and a removable crumb tray for effortless cleaning.
Experience the future of toasting with the EcoSense Conveyor Toaster (CT2)—efficient, cost-effective, and user-friendly.
