The matte black underglaze is overlain with a bronze finish that gives each piece an authentic, worn look that's sophisticated without being showy. The black base layer features a reactive glaze that changes as it's fired, giving the centre a mottled finish that differs slightly from piece to piece. And this, coupled with the imperfect shape of the rim, gives each Ochre bowl a raw, handmade and artisan feel, ideal for teasing out the authentic feel of rustic, natural-look dishes. Finished with deep sides to tie together looser dishes, and a flat base on which to get creative when plating, this is crockery for creative dishes - guaranteed to ensure whatever you're plating up looks every bit as good as it tastes.
